Meet the Artist
About
Vanessa Moriyama (b. 1997), also known as Atomic Maiko, is a Japanese-American freelance Illustrator, Concept Artist, and Digital Artist with a background in Traditional and Charcoal Art based in California. She possesses the ability to study and create art of multiple different art styles and genres with relative ease. Her personal art style does not shy away from the use of high-contrast hues and shades and her subjects are often full of life and story. She holds two Associate’s degrees: one in Fine Art with an emphasis on Digital Art and the other in Game Design & Development.
Since graduating from college, she has become a tour de force within the Game Dev industry since 2021 with a working background as a Senior Quality Assurance tester, a professional freelance background as an Artist/Illustrator, and an education centered around Design and Programming.
With a wide variety of skills that she is capable of, all of them contribute to her success in each field. An artist’s eye meets a programmer’s precision meets a designer’s heart. Her work in any project that she approaches is met with passion.
